"As soap is to the body, so is laughter to the soul."
Laughter is the best medicine. We've all heard that adage hundreds of times before. And it's true. Science has proven that laughter actually can help to heal physical and emotional problems. It's called laughter therapy. It helps me. As a writer, I often get stuck, you know, writer's block...or I just don't feel "in the mood" to write; the creative juices aren't flowing. So what do I do? I take a break and find something to make me laugh; like reading something comical or watching a funny video on YouTube...Anything that will make me giggle or, better yet, induce a full-scale belly laught. I feel better right away and then it's easier for me to sit down and work. I feel light-hearted and more creative. Give it a try next time you're stuck on something. See if it doesn't help you. Laughter truly is the best medicine and one that can, and should, be taken at least once a day. More often is better. And laughter is free. So go ahead and take a lughter break! You and your body will be glad you did.
