      The Frog's Blog

Hi friends. This blog is a labor of love and I want to continue writing every day for a long time to come. But I need a little help. The fees to maintain this website are getting costly for a little frog. If you enjoy reading my blogs, will you please donate a dollar or two, or whatever you can, to help me keep this site (and blog) up and running? I'm on PayPal at irwinquagmirewart@gmail.com. Thank you!

Buggy Treats

It's Friday once again and that means it's time to make some weekend plans. There are so many holiday events going on, that it'll be difficult to choose an activity.
One of my favorite things to do, this time of year, is bake up holiday treats. Since I'm always watching my weight, I like to give away my "buggy goodies" to less fortunate frogs. There's something wonderful about making yummy food and sharing it with others. I think cooking is the closest we can come to making magic. Seeing the look on a froglet's face when you present them with a special treat, well, there's nothing else like it!
I have my shopping list ready and, fortunately, most of the ingredients are on sale this time of year; this affords me the opportunity to bake to my heart's content without breaking the bank. And that's so important during the holidays. Perhaps after I finish all my cooking and baking, I'll watch a classic Frogmas film; "It's a Wonderful Lily Pad" is one of my favorites or, maybe, "A Frogmas Story" which always makes me laugh.
For those of you humans who are brave enough to try them, I am including a link for some of the tastiest and buggy holiday treats from Land of Lily Pad (and my grandma's kitchen). And if you're not into bugs, I might suggest baking up a delicious batch of sugar cookies. They're fun to make and even more fun to decorate.                         Happy Baking, everyone!

Land of Lily Pad's first published author. I enjoy writing fun and educational books for kids. My blog is for you parents; the kiddos might like some of them, too. As always, everything I write is family-friendly, so don't hesitate to share my messages with everyone. I hope you find them helpful and maybe even inspirational. Cheers!
