It's a new year and a new day. This thought excites me. I hope it excites you, too.
In addition to making resolutions for the coming year, perhaps it might be wise to review our core beliefs, as well; the very important ones that define you as a person...or frog. These are the beliefs you hold about yourself. Perhaps you think, "I'm not good enough." or "I don't deserve love and respect from others." Are these beliefs about yourself controling you? Or are you controlling them? Our core beliefs are literally our life-support system. They can either lift us up and give us support, or drag us down, like bricks and chains. They affect everything we do..or don't do. Maybe this is the year for you to re-evaluate your limiting beliefs. You are good enough, just as you are. Every living thing deserves to be treated with respect and dignity; that includes you. You do deserve to be loved...even with all your warts. Maybe those "warts" that you dislike, and try to hide, are the very things that people would find most appealing about you. How will you know if you don't let me show? Nobody is perfect! If perfection was the only criteria by which we were judged, there's be no joy, no compassion, no kindness, and certainly no love in this world. Perfection is a state of mind. We are all perfect...just in different ways. Being different isn't bad, it's being true to who we really are. Take some time today (or,at least soon) and dust off your old, worn-out, limiting beliefs. Give them a good karate chop and really show them who's the boss! You are in control. Not them. Now that we're already four days into the new year, isn't it time for some new, life-supporting, life-affirming core beliefs? Look yourself in the mirror and tell yourself how wonderful you are. Because, you really and truly are! You just might not believe it yet.
