It is human nature (and many frogs, as well) to make life as pleasant as possible for ourselves and for our families and friends. But when someone goes out of their way to make the life of another more beautiful, that act becomes even more beautiful. Whether that act is picking flowers in your garden and taking the bouquet to an elderly neighbor or to a stranger in the hospital or something far more costly, that is a beautiful act of selflessness. We've all heard the old saying that true beauty is what lies on the inside of us. And today is a celebration of all those people whose inner beauty is beyond compare. "Doing a selfless deed is always liberating. Compassion, love, and care are the positive feelings that a happy and beautiful person possesses. Our brains are designed to get satisfied when we see other people happy. Hence, when we do something to make life beautiful for a person in need, we make them happy. This, in turn, makes us happy. Therefore the person feels liberated and joyful," according to beaninspirer.com. And I believe they've hit the nail on the head.
Making life beautiful for others does mean spending huge amounts of time or money on others. One of the most beautiful acts in the world is simply giving a hug when it is needed most. Preparing a cup of tea for a grieving friend is another beautiful act. Words aren't always required since actions always speak louder than any words. Others suggesting might include, volunteering at a children’s hospital, old age homes, or school. Never forget that you can make an animal’s life beautiful by giving them foster care or by volunteering at a shelter to take care of them. What you'll receive in return will warm your heart and boggle your mind! There's nothing in the world that feels quite as good as helping another, especially when you expect nothing in return.
The smallest of the smallest deed that you do today can mean so much in someone’s life. The act of bringing a little joy into someone's life is the hallmark of a beautiful person. If each of us brought a smile to the face of one person or simply took the time to pet a homeless animal, just think how much more beautiful this beautiful ol' world would be. And the most beautiful part of Making Life Beautiful Day is that each small act of kindness done to another has a ripple effect. So while your individual act may seem small to you, believe me...it is anything but small. Use #MakingLifeBeautifulDay on all your social media to remind everyone to be kind.
